If you’re a fan of Led Zeppelin or Them Crooked Vultures you’ll know that JPJ has been using a collection of custom Manson instruments for many years. 4-, 5-, 8-, 10-, 12-string and many custom one-offs have graced the stage with the bass master including the triumphant return of Led Zeppelin in December 2007 and during the world tour with Josh Homme and Dave Grohl. His number one four-string bass, the Manson JPJ E-Bass, has been made available as a low production unit made in Europe with careful quality inspection and final set-up at the Manson Guitar Works premises in the UK and is fully updated for 2017 with new hardware and two new colour options.
In a Bass Guitar Magazine review, editor Nick Wells described the sounds of the JPJ E-Bass; "It has such an articulate tone that notes ring out for what seems an age. Plugging in you get even more of everything - more sustain, more bottom and an astute high end." And playabilty got similar praise in this 5/5 review; "We'd go as far to say this is the fastest neck we've ever played."
Specification is increased for 2017 with all basses shipping in a new fitted UK made Hiscox hardcase designed solely for the JPJ model.
