CITES Certificate for International Export of Rosewood equipped guitars.
This item MUST be added to your basket if you are an International Customer outside of the European Union.
Due to the free movement of trade with the European Union a CITES Certificate is not required.
On January 2nd 2017 a regulation took effect on the export and import of instruments containing rosewood. What this means is that guitars that contain rosewood, be it fretboards, body’s or other, must have documentation declaring how much rosewood is in the instrument, from where it came from and to whom is receiving the instrument.
Unfortunately obtaining a CITES certificate incurs a charge, and as such, we as a company have to, regretfully, pass this charge on to our customers. Licences take between three to six weeks to be issued and so the guitar delivery will be delayed by this.
If you are an International customer, from outside of the European Union, you must add to your basket at time of checkout a CITES Certificate. If this is not added and paid for there will be a delay in shipping the instrument(s), until the Certificate is paid for.
