Manson Works #007 is another 'lightbulb' moment guitar from the Manson Guitar Works. Expanding even further on our original aluminium clad finishes and recent Holey models, Hugh Manson has included a complete resonator design into what can really only be described as a semi-hollow body design but not like any of those other semi-hollow designs you might be thinking of! Acoustically it's a fingerpickin' dream. But plug her in and visually and sonically you get a twisted rock monster! SOLD!
Manson Guitar Works #007 takes our custom work to new heights. The design brief included an alternative to our regular aluminium and Holey ideas yet needed to include those elements to maintain a theme. When a resonator cone arrived at the Works we wondered if we were going to take a left turn into fingerpicking country music (very cool by the way, in case you were wondering...). The end result is Country Rock like you've never heard. The full resonator design is encompassed in our classic MA design shape but with all dimensions stretched to fit. The lovely aged and slightly dull raw finish meant we decided early on to give this full light relic treatment which increases the vintage vibe by the bucketful. So sat at home (or in the studio, where 007 has already served) you really do get a full reso-tone. Pop your favourite mic in front and it's back to the 20s with that bright twang classic Dobro-style sound. But plug a lead in and you can have 50s vintage magnetic pickup punch from the neck P-90 or a thick modern tone for high gain rock and even metal from the bridge humbucker.
